Raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Karla was always only 30 minutes away from the city’s excellent food scene. After receiving her associate’s degree from College of DuPage, she transferred to Boston University for her Bachelor of Science in Communication/Public Relations. Between Boston and Chicago, she has tried the best (and worst) of pizza, tacos and drinks. Throughout her college experience, Karla worked at her school newspaper as the opinion editor and worked on social media projects while interning at Poderistas, an online community for Latinas, by Latinas. Karla is excited to embark her career in the PR industry as a junior publicist at H2’s Chicago office. When she’s not working, Karla enjoys reading, making music and exploring her surrounding’s food culture.
